The Ultra Precision Scale is the flagship product of Arlyn Scales. But now, it comes with Intrinsically Safe version as well. The new ArlynGuard S comes equipped with an Intrinsically Safe Ultra Precision SAW Load Cell sensor that provides 10x the accuracy of regular scales. If your needs require a scale that needs to have a resolution of 1:100,000, to operate in explosive, flammable or other hazardous conditions, then the ArlynGuard S would be a perfect scale for that application.

Intrinsically Safe

Intrinsically Safe for use in Class I, II and III, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, D, E, F and G; Temperature Class T3C Tamb = -25°C to +40°C; Temperature Class T3B Tamb = -25°C to +60°C in accordance with Control Drawings specified. Intrinsically safe apparatus for use in Class I, Zone 0, AEx ia IIC T3 Ta = -25°C to+60°C; in accordance with Control Drawings specified; Nonincendive for use in Class I, II, III, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D, E, F & G; Temperature Class T6 Tamb = -25°C to +60°C; in accordance with Control Drawings specified; Hazardous (Classified) Locations.

Super Sensitivity

A regular 100 lb capacity scale offers sensitivity of 0.02 lb. The 100 lb SAW scale gives amazing sensitivity of 0.001 lb! Other capacity scales give similar improvements.

Super Accuracy

Regular scales generally provide accuracy in the range of 0.1%. Ultra Precision Surface Acoustic Wave (or SAW) scales accuracy is 10x more accurate at 0.01% of Full Scale. The internal resolution is up to 1 part in 2 million!

Super Versatile with Safe Area Indicator

These scales are available in many capacities, ranging from 10 lb all the way to 2000 lb. A wide variety of communication options, including Ethernet, USB, and RS-232 can be equipped to a remote Safe Area Indicator to provide you communication options that cannot be approved for hazardous locations.

Equipped with Intrinsically Safe Display

All scales in the Explosion Proof category come standard with an Intrinsically Safe MKE-5-IS Large Graphics Display. While other scales have a 7-segment LCD display that are hard to read without a manual, the MKE-5-IS sports a full 128x64 Dot Matrix Display that can provide intuitive control without the need of a manual.

AC Power Available

These scales have an included rechargeable battery supply. For those applications that require the scale to be powered with an power supply outlet, the scales also have the option to be powered externally through a Safety Barrier.

Hazardous (Classified) Communication

The MKE-5-IS display can also be equipped with RS422/RS485 and Setpoint Control to allow communication and valve control within the classified location (subject to classified specification of Entity Parameters).
