Digital Lab Scales: Getting the Most Precise Data

Digital Lab Scales: Getting the Most Precise DataIf you’re in the market for a digital lab scale, you’ve likely perused the Internet and found a large number of options when it comes to scale manufacturers. While all of these companies may claim to offer high quality industrial scales, few have the experience of a company like Arlyn Scales. When you’re looking for a unique combination of durability and accuracy, it’s important to partner with a company that’s been in the business for an extended period of time and is willing to work with you to meet your exact needs, however individualized they may be.

Arlyn Scales: Over 30 Years of Experience in the Industrial Scale Industry

The team at Arlyn Scales has quite the experience when it comes to designing and manufacturing industrial scales. For more than 30 years, our team has tirelessly pushed the envelope in terms of providing high quality industrial scales that are extremely durable, accurate, and most importantly affordable.

We’ve been able to keep our costs down because we’re headquartered right here in Long Island, New York, where all of our scales are not only designed, but manufactured as well. We don’t cut corners in any part of the design or manufacturing process. In fact, we have many customers who have come back to us again and again when they were in need of another industrial scale. This level of intimacy with our customers has in our eyes created a responsibility to produce products that are reliable and meet, if not surpass our customers’ expectations.

Why Purchase Digital Lab Scales from Arlyn Scales?

In case we haven’t convinced you already, there are a whole host of reasons why we think it makes sense to purchase a digital lab scale from Arlyn Scales. The reasons are many, but a few include:

Highly Experienced Sales and Customer Service Team

As mentioned above, when you work with Arlyn Scales, you’re working with our team of scale experts that are all based in Long Island, New York. This means that there is rarely a disconnect between our design and manufacturing teams, and if there is, it’s easy for the two groups to talk out a workable solution. Unlike companies who rely on overseas manufacturing, all of our personnel are located in the same general vicinity, making solving problems much easier.

Highly Competitive Pricing

While many times you’ll hear that you will pay a premium for US based manufacturing, we haven’t found this to necessarily be the case. Because we’re able to spot any issues early on and don’t have teams that are located around the world, we’re able to react to issues in a matter of minutes as opposed to a matter of days, or even weeks. Furthermore, since we don’t rely on any type of distributor network, we can sell our industrial scales directly to consumers, which cuts down on our overhead. This lowered overhead allows us to offer industrial scales for much lower prices than some companies who must rely on a complex distributor network where everyone is looking for their piece of the pie.

Latest in Industrial Scale Technology

At Arlyn Scales, we’re always working on the next best thing that we think will make the lives of our customers even easier. A few of the more recent innovations we’ve introduced include:

  • ArlynUpScale Touchscreen Indicator – While technology has infiltrated almost every piece of electronic equipment in existence, it wasn’t until recently that the digital scale indicator was affected. For so long scale owners were forced to use the same small digital display that has been synonymous with industrial scales for decades. Thankfully, Arlyn Scales recently debuted their ArlynUpScale Touchscreen Indicator, which is an Android-powered touchscreen tablet device that puts all of the scales functionality in the palm of your hands. This touchscreen device offers users full access to the many features of our scales, all with an extremely easy to use interface that’s been applauded by scale experts and beginners alike.
  • Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) Technology – For lab scales, one of our most intriguing technological advancements has been our Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) technology, which allows for much more precise measurements even at high capacities. While most scales measure strain or stress, SAW scales measure displacement, which requires much less movement by a load cell to produce an accurate weight value. For this reason, these scales are much more durable than other precision scales, and can support capacities of between 500 – 1000 lbs. They utilize a load cell that’s constructed from a much thicker metal, which also prevents them from being as susceptible to overloading and shock loading like other precision lab scales.
  • Communication Options Galore – Because computers are integral to any organizations bottom line, it’s important that our scales are able to interface with as many devices as possible. All of our scales allow you to access weight data through a variety of communication methods including WiFi, Ethernet, Serial, USB, and many others.
  • Datalogging Functionality – Should your scale be located in an area where computer access isn’t feasible, we also offer our datalogging functionality. Simply plug a USB drive directly into our scale and instantly download weight data which can be later accessed on any computer. This data is stored in a CSV format, which can be read by most spreadsheet and database programs like Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel.
