Introducing industry's first and only Intrinsically Safe Chlorine Ton Scale. Many industrial environments prohibit the use of standard equipment, due to explosive, flammable or other hazardous conditions. Many of these situations require equipment that is Intrinsically Safe for use in Explosive Environments. The ArlynGuard T Chlorine Ton Scale is Intrinsically Safe for use in many hazardous area classes, divisions and groups.

New Features

ArlynGuard scales can now be configured in multiple ways to meet the needs of specific applications. AC Powered Systems are now available (see Configuration #2). Intrinsically Safe

Class I, II, III, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, D, E, F & G Class I, Zone 0, AEx ia IIC (T3 Ta=60C) Indoor Hazardous (Classified) Locations. Nonincendive for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D Suitable for use in Class II, Division 2, Groups F & G, Class III, Division 2 indoor Hazardous (Classified) Locations.

Extremely Durable

Most “Tonner” scales are constructed from welded steel with a powder coated finish. In most cases, that is usually enough until the paint gets scratched, leaving an opening for corrosion to migrate under the coating. Arlyn's Chlorine Ton Scales (ArlynGuard T) are constructed from stainless steel, greatly reducing corrosion and providing longer, trouble free life.

Very Accurate

The industry standard for Chlorine Ton Cylinder Scales is to apply the weight to a single load cell through a pivot and lever system. This construction presents a number of problems. First of all, this is an old weighing method that is susceptible to inaccuracies as the pivots wear. Any change in position of the tank will alter the weight. Instead, the Arlyn's Ton Scales uses four (4) intrinsically safe, heat treated, abuse resistant stainless steel load cells. There are absolutely no pivots and levers to degrade over time. Accuracy is as much as five times better!

Low Cost

Although the features and performance would suggest otherwise, Arlyn’s Factory Direct sales channel and in house design and fabrication capability result in a lower cost.
